Veneto region
Day 1:
Arrival in Bassano del Grappa (approx. 100 km from the Verona Airport and 85 km from the Venice Airport)Famous for its wooden bridge and for the events of the 2nd world war. Accommodation in a 3 star hotel with half board in Bassano.
Day 2:
After breakfast we travel to nearby city of Treviso famous for it’s frescoes. Then we visit Valdobbiadene, the perfect place to sample a good glass of Prosecco wine with same typical local product. We continue onto the pearl of the province of Treviso, the magnificent picturesque town of Asolo, once the home of the English poet Robert Browning. Dinner at our hotel in Bassano.
Day 3:
After breakfast we travel to Padua, where a city guide will take us through the most important monuments of the city including the St Anthony Cathederal, the Jewish Quarter and Prato della Valle. From Padua we board a boat called “ Burchiello” for a cruise on the Brenta River into Venice. During the cruise we will be able to visit the region’s most famous Venetian Villas designed by the region’s architectural master Andrea Palladio. Dinner at our hotel in Bassano.
Day 4:
Our last day is dedicated to the visit of Verona, one of the main tourist destination in the North of Italy. First we will have a panoramic view of the city from where we can take some nice pictures. We will be joined by a local guide who will take you to the famous balcony of Romeo & Juliet, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza Brà and the spectacular Arena. Free time for shopping before the returning to the hotel.
Day 5:
Tour ends after breakfast.
