Tuscany

DAY 1:

Arrival in Versilia and accommodation in a good 3-star hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2:

After breakfast trip to Florence; capital of the region and the cradle of the Italian Renaissance. Meet with a local guide for a visit of the city: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Palace and the Ponte Vecchio. Free afternoon for shopping. Return to the hotel in late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3:

From the hotel starts a trip direction Carrara and the Apuan Alps to visit the marble bridge and the marble extraction. In the afternoon you’ll take a trip from Lerici around Tino Island, Tinetto Island and Palmaria Island with a break in Portovenere, a lovely fishing village. In late afternnon return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4:

After breakfast you’ll enjoy a tour to Pisa: visit to buildings in the wonderful Piazza dei Miracoli, the “leaning” Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral and the Baptistry. Late in the afternoon you’ll reach Lucca. After a short walk along the historical city walls, you’ll have a guided tour of the city. Dinner with local wine in a farm on the hills around Lucca. Return to the hotel for the night.

DAY 5:

Departure after breakfast.
